There Was So Much to Discover at Bordeaux Under One Roof 2015
On October 8th the Bordeaux Wine Council hosted its biggest event of the year: the 5th annual Bordeaux Under One Roof. This year, over 500 people in San Francisco got to experience 80 varieties of affordable Bordeaux wines.
This year’s event put an emphasis on education. During the first segment at the Golden Gate Club, 70 importers, retailers and other key players in the industry attended our master tasting class led by Tim Marson. Attendees sniffed, swirled and sipped eight Bordeaux wines between $10 and $55.That evening 250 consumers enjoyed blind tastings of Bordeaux, cheese, charcuterie and a photo booth.

Throughout the consumer event attendees explored the diverse pairing ability of Bordeaux with Japanese, French, Italian and Spanish cuisine while three artists from the California Art Club created paintings and sculptures. About $5000 in proceeds from the evening benefited the club in its mission to promote contemporary-traditional fine art with outreach programs. With Bordeaux there’s always more to discover, and we can’t help but look forward to next year’s event. In the meantime be sure to find Bordeaux wines in your city!
