Read all about it… Will Lyons shared his love of Bordeaux’s white wines with his Sunday Times readers, recommending 6 underrated Bordeaux whites, all of which “exciting alternatives to reds” available in the UK (find them here). An impressive 8 Bordeaux wines, including refreshing whites and fruit forward reds made it into Jane MacQuitty’s 100 best wines for Summer 2021 in The Times, while Crémant de Bordeaux Rosé continues to be lauded by some of the most respected UK wine journalists such as Susy Atkins in her latest Telegraph column on sparkling wine.
Heard it on the radio… we’ve hit the airwaves too and have featured on some of the UK’s favourite wine podcasts and radio shows. Masters of Wine Susie Barrie & Peter Richards kicked off their 3-parter on the new era of Bordeaux with an episode on Bordeaux’s modern reds with fascinating interviews with Decanter’s Jane Anson and Yann Todeschini of Château Mangot in St Émilion. Goats, amphorae, Whatsapp, wine aged in space, terroir, bats, non-fungible tokens and sexual confusion all cropped up as they looked beyond the Bordeaux stereotypes – listen here. Bordeaux Hot 50 Chair Richard Bampfield MW appeared on David Kermode’s new show ‘The Drinking Hour’ on FoodFM where they both discussed their experience of judging the 2021 Selection.
