Get the latest figures from Bordeaux at our virtual trade briefing
Bordeaux Wines will be hosting their annual trade briefing virtually for the first time this year, following the postponement of the inaugural Bordeaux Day.
Now taking place on Wednesday 4th November from 10am to 11.15am on Zoom, the Bordeaux Briefing will be hosted by Allan Sichel, Vice President of the CIVB (Bordeaux Wine Council), who will share the latest news from Bordeaux, an update on the CIVB’s pioneering sustainability initiatives and a summary of the marketing campaigns carried out by the CIVB. Magali Dubeau, analyst at the CIVB’s Economics Department, will then offer invaluable trade, consumer and retail data insights as she unveils the latest export figures and takes participants through the current market trends.
“Given the current climate and the restrictions surrounding events on a larger scale , we have taken the decision to push back Bordeaux Day to 2021 when we can welcome winemakers and provide the truly immersive experience that we had planned,” says Julie Rambaud Texier, Marketing Director of the CIVB. “Whilst 2020 has been an unusual year, our work promoting Bordeaux wines in the UK has continued and we think that there is real value in bringing the annual Briefing online to highlight this. We’ll be talking in more detail about our plans for 2021 and how we will continue to support the trade through our activities.”
