Although the Crémant appellation is one of the most recent in the Bordeaux region (1990), the production of sparkling wines in Bordeaux is a century-old tradition.
Produced throughout the Bordeaux vineyards, it has enjoyed well-deserved success in recent years.
With its delicate bubbles and full of freshness, Crémant de Bordeaux, is the perfect accompaniment for festive occasions.
There are two types of Crémant de Bordeaux – white and rosé.
White Crémant de Bordeaux can be produced with all Bordeaux grape varieties, both white and black. They are mainly made from: Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenère, Malbec, Merlot, Petit Verdot (black) and Muscadelle, Sémillon, Sauvignon (white).
They offer fine bubbles with aromas of citrus fruits and white flowers.
White Crémant de Bordeaux represents 69% of the production of Crémant de Bordeaux and involves 214 winemakers.
They reflect different aromas such as lemon, hazelnut, white flowers like acacia, buttered or toasted notes.
White Crémants de Bordeaux are suitable with aperitifs, tapas, seafood starters, white meat dishes or red fruit desserts.

Crémant de Bordeaux Rosé are made from the black grape varieties of Bordeaux: Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenère, Malbec, Merlot, Petit Verdot.
They offer lively bubbles with red fruit notes.
Rosé Crémant de Bordeaux represents 33% of the production of Crémant de Bordeaux and involves 100 winemakers.
They reflect various aromas like redcurrant, strawberry, raspberry.
Rosé Crémants de Bordeaux are suitable with aperitifs, shellfish, salmon, cheese or desserts with red fruits or chocolate.
