July Goings-on in Bordeaux

Apéritif Vino Côtes de Bourg
All summer, twice a day, at 15h and 18h, Compagnie des 2 Rives is offering 1h30 boat trips which will allow you to discover the Côtes de Bourg wines around a tasting organised aboard a spacious boat. Apérock”n Blaye An unmissable summer event, Apérock”n Blaye is held in the heart of the Citadel of Blaye. Music and wine lovers will experience the unique surroundings of the Cellier des Vignerons, a former guardroom of the seventeenth century, which will open its doors every Thursday from 6pm. There will also be the opportunity to taste wines from the appellation Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux in the presence of a winemaker, accompanied by jazz-rock. To learn more, click here.
Apéritif Vignerons Graves Vayres
The House of Vayres wines invites you every first Friday of the summer months to taste the Graves appellation of Vayres. This tasting will be accompanied by a concert and workshops which explore the different flavours that make up the richness of these wines. Les Grands Crus Musicaux The 14th edition of the International Festival of Classical Music will be held from the 11-28 July in the heart of Bordeaux. Created by Marc Laforet, a renowned pianist and lover of the region, the event brings together soloists of the highest level. The idea of this festival is to combine classical music and Grands Crus. The event will take place in the heart of seven prestigious châteaux: Yquem, Angelus, Pape Clément, Smith-Haut-Lafitte, Lascombes, Agassac and Domaine de Chevalier. For nine exceptional evenings in a special setting, let yourself be captivated by the talent of renowned performers and young artist virtuosos. Saint-Émilion Jazz Festival
From July 22 to 24, jazz will swing into the heart of the beautiful medieval town of Saint-Émilion! Make this festival in the UNESCO World Heritage site, a highlight of your summer break and enjoy 3 days of jazz. For this 5th edition of the Saint-Émilion Jazz Festival, the program promises to be rich: in addition to the series of concerts organized in the privacy of the Hall of Dominicans in a prestigious castle or in the heart of Parc Gaudet – a ephemeral basement restaurant in the park – you can taste more than 20 different Saint-Émilion wines.
